During the Afternoon is when BeeKeepers collect the Honey from the Individual hives. The Picure below shows a typical scene of what it looks like at a Bee Yard where Honey is being taken. The Honey Boxes on the ground are empty and will be put on the Hives when the full boxes are removed. The person on the right is taking the last full box from off a hive.

In order to remove the Boxes full with honey from the hive the Bees in the hive have to leave. This is done by placeing a Black Lid (Fume Board) that has a special chemical on the underside which when warmed by the Suns heat gives off a strong odor that displeases the Bees and causes them to scurry out of the Hive.

After removing all full boxes of honey and replacing with empty boxes, the full ones are taken back to the Beekeepers Extracting facilitiy where they are kept in a warm room, usually called the Hot Room. The Hot Room keeps the Boxes of honey warm, until they are Extracted the following day.
